Membership

General Information:

The current membership bond (refundable upon resignation) is $1,000.
There is a one time initiation fee of $550.
Dues for the 2010 season are $850. Please submit with a membership information update form (login under 'Member login' and verify your membership information) to make sure information is up to date and for listing in the membership directory. For a current membership dues invoice, click here. You should have already received a hard copy via mail, but in case you did not, please send in your payment with a copy of this generic invoice.
Dues are due on March 1st. Please ensure your dues are received by the due date to avoid the $100 late fee.
Every effort is made to keep dues increases to less than 3% per year. These amounts are due when a position becomes available and you are invited to join the club.

Waiting List:

The Waiting List time is running at approximately 1-2 years. Each year we average about 80-100 positions moving due to resignations and members from the top of the list being offered membership.
If you are interested in applying to the waiting list, please print out a Membership Application and mail it to our P.O. Box. There is a $100.00 non-refundable application fee that must be sent in with your application.
You will be placed on the Waiting list in the order that your application & payment is received. Usually it takes 30 days from receipt of application to get the waitlist updated with new names.
All waitlist families may join for the month of August for $290. Payment must be recieved by July 15th. Please write your waitlist number on your check. Any questions/concerns about Membership? E-mail us at fhswimclub@gmail.com.

For Resigning Members:

Please send your bond to P.O. Box 285, Ellicott City, MD 21041 with a letter of intent of resignation. If you cannot locate your bond, please indicate that in your letter of resignation.
Your bond will be refunded when a new member takes your spot, which usually occurs in March. Please allow approximately 6 weeks from March 1st to receive your bond refund.
